About this author

Meredith Wood lives in the middle of a cotton field in the northern part of Arkansas with her husband, their three children, three parakeets, and two dogs. With her life more often than not a chaotic mess, she firmly believes order and peace lead to an inactive imagination. She confesses to having a somewhat obsessive love for music, fuzzy animal toe socks, and chocolate. She also believes that without those three ingredients she couldn’t write one single sentence.

More of Meredith's books…
“Reading stimulates the imagination and a good imagination can change the world in the most splendid of ways.”
Meredith Wood

“The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four people is suffering from a mental illness. Look at your 3 best friends. If they're ok, then it's you.”
Rita Mae Brown

“Stories of imagination tend to upset those without one.”
Terry Pratchett

“Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisioned by the enemy, don't we consider it his duty to escape?. . .If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we're partisans of liberty, then it's our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!”
J.R.R. Tolkien

“Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like.”
Lemony Snicket

“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
Mae West
