It's really good. I'm at the part where he just told his son that about the Japanese part of town and the son and fiance are helping him look through the basement.

Cool. There are a few quirky things with the book - like the internet reference before the internet really existed... but it's a good book. :)

I haven't made it much past part 3. I've been too busy at work to read, and too tired to sit in front of my computer at night and read when I get home. I might try to finish it this weekend. Things should slow down a bit by then.

How many parts is it?

9 - so I'm almost a thrid of the way, I guess. That sounds better... I got the last part today, so if I finish it this weekend, I'm not too far behind...

In my author challenge, does Tatiana De Rosnay go under D or R?

R is the better choice, I think. If you look at her name on her author page here, it's de Rosnay... making me lean towards R. I suppose you could do either though...

I find it amusing that when you were making your A-Z list at the end of 2009, I had trouble thinking of books to read starting with H and W and now that seems to be all I'm reading...

My problems seem to be T and O... holy cow! They're the letters of the year so far! I was thinking I'd have troubles with V, but I now have quite a few V books that I want to read. I know that I had ideas for J and Q, but I can't remember what they were... I'll go back to my old thread at some point and figure it out.

Maybe I should just change my challenge to be two books by an author with a last name starting with each letter of the alphabet...

I need to get away from the titles starting with W! Though, I REALLY want to read World Without End and Wuthering Heights this year.

I think that my problem letters are the T's and O's! Seriously! :) D's too!

Oh, and my other problem is the sheer amount of bigger books I've read so far this year. While none are 1,000 pages, there are quite a few 600+ books. :)

I read The Sea of Monsters in 2 evenings. It really sucked me in and wouldn't let go... I would have dove right into the third one if it wasn't already after midnight. I guess technically, I finished it today (though I dated it for yesterday...). It also helps that I did absolutely nothing productive this weekend (except see you of course:)). All I did was sit on my porch and read.

I'm enjoying The Phantom of the Opera so far, though being very familiar with the movie version, the book feels all out of order.

I don't think I've ever been called a wench before...

Oh when you're done with Phantom let me know! I think you should read Phantom too!

I'd have more than 31 too if I would have read the Percy Jackson series... the hardest part about listening to them was the time it took to finish the books! :)

I won't! I didn't buy The Phantom of the Opera either. I found it on the Gutenberg Project. I tried to get it here, but could only get it to download in French (which does me very little good...).
