Ronda Tutt's 144 Books for 2010
3. The Priestess of Avalon - Wow, just finished my third book for the month of Jan. I can't remember the goal of how many books to read in a month but I am hoping to at least finish 5 books in Jan., maybe even 6. So far all the books I have read have been between 400 and 600 pages long.

I am so glad I watched the HBO series first - I could hear Sookies voice as I read it and it seemed to make the read go faster.

How did you like it Ronda? This is one of my all time favorite books - I have not read the Ravens of Avalon though, would be interested to see how you think they compare :)

Hi Jery, The Mist of Avalon was great, boy what a different view of the story between Author & Gwenhwyfar compared to Roslind miles - Guenevere Queen of the Summer Country which is Guenevere's view instead of Morgaines.
Ravens of Avalon was excelent, it was a little slow in the beginning because it had to explain the different tribes but then it kicked in gear and I found myself loving the herion Queen Boudica. I had never heard of her even in real history but she did exist. She kicks butt in this book and I loved her. Now I have to read some books on her - LOL
Have you read all the Avalon Series?
I'm so close to the 12 book goal, I just finished the 10th book and almost finished with the 11th which I will finish in a couple of hours and then start the 12th book. I am really amazed that I am doing it.10th book

I have not read the whole series, just the Mists, Priestess of Avalon, and Lady of Avalon. I need to go back and get the other ones, I just want to wait until I can really 'dive' into them- have too much stress right now to really lose myself in a book even if it really deserves it :)
There are a lot of great books about Queen Boadica (various spellings) - being Irish myself I like to think she is the original fearless leader!

Now I have to change my book list on the goal I set to read in February since I just read Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris
which brings my count for January to 13. I am going to start reading Dead as a Doornail to night and It looks like I might get it read before the 31st and that will make my January read 14 books . I am so happy - I never realized how many books I could read in one month.
