Description:
Innocent Samantha Hatcher, grieving for the family she’s lost on the Old Oregon Trail, is pushed into the river by a mean-spirited girl. Sam floats away to find a new home and sanctuary. But can a woman living with a bunch of chickens in a dilapidated cabin in the Idaho woods survive alone? With the help of newfound friends and disguised as both herself and her husband Sam tries.
Joseph W. Barrington III is a nearby cattle and sheep rancher who lives with his extended family on his wealthy ranch. He is instantly attracted to Samantha but is suspicious and jealous of her husband. Sam sees her ability to play both man and female roles as opportunity to observe the true nature of people and she is hurt that Joe doesn’t like Samuel, her male persona, not realizing he’s jealous.
What will a trip to Boise to see the Opera House reveal? Joe falls more in love with Samantha. Sexually frustrated, Joe goes to a bawdyhouse where Sam, dressed as her male persona, happens to be making a delivery. Misunderstanding and farce ensues. Will Joe uncover Samantha’s deception? Will she find her feelings toward Joe going from friendship to love?
